Ugh, if I see one more elephant I'm gonna die @_@ (yes yes, I was barraged with refrences like whoa). As you all know I'm not too great when it comes to doodling male characters of -any- species, so I rarely do them unless they're like kids. Well this bad boy is a guy AND a large guy at that. So I went to some pretty good refrences right here on deviantart, namely they like them big and muscley over there so...yea.
Ganesh, one of the only two (adult) males in Ilianna's clan. Despite the 'angry' pose he has going here, he's rather peaceful. He's cozy with Kali [link] for who knows why, (who knows maybe opposites attract?) and is the unoffical second in command. All the sketches I was doing of him were looking very much like what he is-an elephant... so I'm rather pleased that I finally produced something that fits the look I was thinking.
Yes, he is a gargoyle and yes those are small pygmy wings. I don't care what anyone says, gargs like Broadway, Hudson and our ever lovable 'bigger' gargs should not be able to fly with the wings given to them. Its areodynamically impossible @_@ well, to me anyway. Anyhoodle, there's a story beihnd why his wings are so small, you'll find out soon enough For now, enjoy my lineart and give me some ideas on what color he should be. I was thinking 'sacred white elephant, but i wanted a secondary color to compliment it. Ideas?
