About this Nicolas Cage situationEdit: I've just woken up to a night's worth of replies to this journal and people have made a great point about the fact that I could put these deviations in storage until the situation has ended, which I just have. As you can easily guess from the stats on my profile, I don't post very often. I try to, because it's important to use the website I help build. So when last year, for fun, I made these montages I thought it might make people I'm in touch with on dA laugh, or at least smile at the absurdity of them. And some did. When I submitted them, $fourteenthstar and her team saw that they could be controversial and they were discussed during a meeting with her team. I had submitted the images with default settings, so they made me disable prints immediately. That made total sense to me, I felt stupid f

This is great, yet amidst those opinions you're bound to get reactions that are nothing more than word pollution or troll bait. :megaphone: How did you discover deviantART, is there a story behind your journey here?
Throughout 1999/2000 I was an active member of several wallpaper/skinning websites and I happened to notice an 'affiliates' button on one of them which led back to deviantART so I checked it out and wound up joining just about a month after deviantART launched. I really liked the fact that only deviantART had an "IndyArt" category at the time which accepted non-wallpaper resolutions so being more of a sketch artist then wallpaper artist I eventually stopped going to all the other websites where I was a member. Now that I really think about it most of those early communities either don't exist any more or they aren't recognizable as what

First, thank you for agreeing to be interviewed! I truly appreciate it. If you don't mind, could you tell us briefly how it was that you came to be an official staff member, and about how long ago that was?
I joined dA staff a little over a year and-a-half ago, January 2010! I was in Community Relations, previously, as the Fan Art Gallery Moderator and applied to be on the CEA team. :)
At the time, and even now, what part of this job do you enjoy the most, and could you give a brief overview of what you get to do?
On the CEA team, I really try to help out where I can. I deal with harassment, policy, and ban-related cases, so it can get interesting after a while. It isn't easy, but it's rewarding when you can work towards a resolution and help people out.
